HESLB Batch Three Loan Beneficiaries 2024/2025

List of Loan Recipients for Batch Three

On October 20, 2024, HESLB announced the allocation of loans to 19,345 students amounting to TZS 59.49 billion for the 2024/2025 academic year. These students are first-year undergraduates who have enrolled in various higher education institutions across Tanzania.

Total Number of Beneficiaries

To date, HESLB has allocated loans to a total of 70,990 undergraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a cumulative loan value of TZS 223.3 billion. Among these beneficiaries, 40,164 (56.58%) are male and 30,825 (43.42%) are female.

Loans for Diploma Students

In addition to undergraduate loans, HESLB has also allocated loans to 425 diploma students, which includes 378 new students and 47 continuing students. The total value of loans for these diploma students is TZS 1.1 billion.

‘Samia Scholarship’ Grant

For the 2024/2025 academic year, HESLB has provided a total of TZS 3.02 billion in grants through the ‘Samia Scholarship’ program. So far, 599 students have benefited from this scholarship (588 in the first batch and 11 in the second).

HESLB has developed an online system where students can verify their loan allocations. To check your loan status, follow these steps:

  2. Log in using your username and password that you created when applying for the loan.
  3. Once logged in, you will find details regarding your loan allocation, including the amount and academic year.
